@ Mengde: gosh I never knew that before! I'm always too busy trying to score as much as I can so that I can get the top player/scorer award item. I never actually knew that you had to play that many games! Everytime I ran to a save point, I saved and then played blitzball. Drove my bro nuts since he hates it! Sylla: the Guado Glories are cheaters and annoy me with their horrifyingly powerful passes and sharklike swimming. It's best to run like hell and play hot potato with the ball when they play. @nrg: Yeah, if you give Brother a chance to level up he's second best shooter behind Tidus and he's got good passing. 'm a total geek. -_-;

I knorite? I especially hate it when they use their speshul techniques, because I think I've got more resistance than they've got attack and then WTF HIS ATTACK JUST DOUBLED I MEAN WTF HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE. Ohh, I loved blitzball! Sphere Break from X-2 was alright. I like crunching numbers but not that much.
Brother is an incredible player! Wakka is, too. And if you can get Durren, do. By his stats, he's the second best goalkeeper you can have, but he tends to catch most of the attempted goals--more than the number one player, I thought ('cuz my brother had the number one; I forget his name).
I liked the Sphere Grid system. Tidus, Auron, Wakka, and Yuna had the entire thing finished in mine.
But the chocobo racing! Too hard for me. I couldn't get the Sun Sigil. =(

The chocobo racing is EVIL. But I wanted Tidus's celestial SO BAD, so I kept at it. Completing that thing was one of the proudest moments of my LIFE. Ugh, all this X talk is giving me the itch. I should be completing X-2 or working or doing anything else. I so totally do not need to re-start X and do all these things . (Like the destruction spheres. Oh god how much time did I waste on the DESTRUCTION SPHERES. I DON'T EVEN USE ANIMA. I don't even use aeons. I just decided that it was totally a good idea to get her. And those retarded Magus sisters. Most un-scary aeon EVER.)

Hahah, I got the chocobo racing thing on, like, the fifth try. MUCH less painful than it could've been... although on the fourth try I managed to get exactly 0:00. RAGED at that. =P I DON'T EVEN USE ANIMA. I don't even use aeons. I just decided that it was totally a good idea to get her. And those retarded Magus sisters. Most un-scary aeon EVER.) The only time I've ever used aeons is early on... and then I used Ifrit to defeat Sin's arms/wings/whatever. Took a full ten seconds or so for the attack to reach there, but then it did 9,999 damage. Kinda funny to watch, actually; I guess deceleration has no place in Spira. (Also, I've said this before, but Anima actually scared me the first time I saw her Overdrive. D:)

Are you guys kidding? I freaking loved Anima and Bahamut. :D Their overdrives blew up EVERYTHING. They were all, like, BLAM, BOOM, KA-SPLAM!
Ixion and the Magus Sisters were lame, though. :p And Yojimbo? Don't get me started on that gil pilferer.

don't get me wrong, koky, i shamelessly spammed anima, but he/she/it still scareded me. ^^;
And bahamut is win because he's the first to break the damage limit of all my aeons every time!
the magus sisters sucked because if you said or asked the wrong thing then they got prissy and didn't do anything, 'specially Cindy! The big lummox.

Likewise; I shamelessly spammed Anima (well, every so often, at least) not because I needed her help, especially in the latter stages of the game, but because her overdrive is just that. Darn. Cool.

I never use aeons past a certain point in the game. They're useful for getting important Overkills on bosses early on, but once all my characters are doing that anyway, it's much faster to not have to sit through thirty-second-long Overdrives.

You know one thing that I haven't been able to do yet? Kill any of the monster arena creations! They're all like, super fast, and super strong! Like the wolf thing...Fenrir? always attacks with hell fang and kills someone, then I manage to get one attack or revival in with someone, then it attacks three times in a row!

Same as Mendge, past a certain point I cba to wait for aeon sequences and don't use them.
Ah, the ol' battle arena ;D I don't train anywhere else now, excpet when I'm out for money to go BACK there. Start on area conquest baddies, they're weaker than the species and original conquest ones, but be aware that you have to have VERY HIGH stats to get close to them, like, at all. I can take most of them down because I have a maxed spheregrid auto-haste auto-phoenix and so on so forth, but I got owned very hard for QUITE a long time.
The advantage of all those stupid ones, fenrir and stuff? They drop good spheres. Spheres that can be used to max your stats properly.

Like the wolf thing...Fenrir? always attacks with hell fang and kills someone, then I manage to get one attack or revival in with someone, then it attacks three times in a row! To beat most of the Area Creations, pretty much all the Species, and every one of the Originals, you need to hit for 99999 every time and have Quick Hit. You also need at least 150+ Agi/Accuracy to even get close to Fenrir. 200+ is better, and is necessary for Nemesis. All the other stats are pretty optional; Defense and Magic Defense don't matter because you shouldn't be getting hit, Magic shouldn't matter because Quick Hit > any kind of magic, and Luck is just too damn irritating to raise. Now, I've never played the PAL version, which has the Dark Aeons/Penance, but it's my understanding that for those you need 255 in every single stat, including Luck.

30-second long overdrives? Can't you set the Aeon scenes to "short" in config?
That would have been nice in some of the other FF games.....
I love Aeons and I always wind up using them all the way to the very end. I'm weird like that.
