I really think that site has some pretty good pointers for writing sex scenes. It's got me thinking (dirty thoughts none the less) that I might try my hand at writing one. I probably wait till after my rewrite though.I've got a long way to go. At least twelve chapters worth.

That actually was some helpful advice.
Speaking as someone who was raised as an ultra-conservative sheltered religious prude, I still have some major hangups when it comes to writing about sex. It took me several years into marriage to be comfortable even reading it. These days, I'm working to put those hangups to bed (ha, ha) but it isn't easy. I have no facility for discussing those functions, especially not in a way that anyone might find enjoyable to read.
To be perfectly honest, this is one of the reasons I started reading fic in the first place. To see it done, both poorly and well, and to get a feeling for how to manage it myself.

I was raised in a very liberal household. VERY liberal. Like, former hippies liberal. Sex, love and rock and roll liberal.
And when I first started writing erotica I had some Serious Issues. I think everyone has that issue, where you just don't know wtf you're doing at first. It's a hard act to describe with any variety without sounding cheesy, and it's also uncomfortable to a lot of people.

Who here said they would beta if given the chance? Costa? Pen? You two? I think I might actually consider having one of you guys taking a look at what I have. Maybe I'd appreciate and get the push I need from somebody ripping the dumbass fic a new one. Because I feel terrible...as a whole, too but a that's a story for another day.
But how would I send it? PM here? or PM there? Or that funny looking docx thing on ff.net, huh?

It might've been me... but go with Pen or Costa. They'd probably be better.

I can give you a read through on stuff if you want to e-mail me, but right now I'm SUPER busy so it might take a few days (OH SNAP that reminds me that I'm halfway through a pre-read of something La sent me. Thanks for reminding me!). Today's Thursday. If you sent it today I could probably have it back to you by Sunday.

Mr. kaj, oh I didn't know you were offering...sorry for glossing over you. And Costa, well, I don't wanna bog you down with anymore work than you need and...I'm a wimp when it comes to one-on-one reading so...I suck.
I don't know what to do. Y_Y

You can e-mail me. I will get to it as soon as possible - I'm going to be honest, I LOVE proof-reading stuff. It's just that Cally just moved out here and we're getting things settled for her. It's not bogging me down, it's just that I can't get to it for a few days - unless I run into some free time, in which case I would love to read through your scene if you feel I can help you (if not, disregard this message! XD).

Um okay, I'll give it a shot. >_u
Just to see what it's like. I never had anyone proofread or beta for me before so... This'll offer me the opportunity to see whether it's not as bad as...something or other. Could you pm me your email?

Emailing me's fine, too, if I've got it here. If not, then PM me or something... yeah.
Anyway.
Underage sex is bad.

Unless, of course, you're legally married like I was. ;D
I do have to say, when I write the smut, I like to leave some of the scene to the imagination of the reader. Overloading the detail can sometimes make it sound muddled IMO. I like to focus more on the emotions of the situation, but that's probably because I'm a romantic sap.

Who told you this? What filthy lies are being spread? I reached the sex scene in my Original fiction story. I just hit it so awesomely on the head I deserve a medal.
