So lately everybody has been showing off their drawing skills on the forum here. I've seen a pretty wide variety of styles, but I wonder what illustrative style you use the most often and what your preferred style of illustration?
Myself? I have been switching back and forth between Manga/Anime and a Realistic style. lately

Even though I can't draw with a flip, I do like Realistic style the most. Manga/Anime is alright every now and then, but there's something about those paintings that look like they could walk right off the canvas. They're haunting in a beautiful way.

I chose other because my style and preferences is...surely something else.
(Hahaha no one can get on me for THAT, ohohohoho~)

I prefer manga/anime when I draw, merely for the fact I find it simpler and because I. Can. Not. Shade.
At all.
Whatsoever
However, Realism is lovely as well (as long as I can avoid noses)

I can't draw - and on the rare occasion that I do - I use the manga/anime style.
In actaul artwork that I take pride in however, I use a vector style of large basic shapes and colorful poping backdrops. Textures rule my word, and glitter is amazing.
A flashy way to be lazy in basic.

I chose other because I like realistic but I also like comic book art, which is a category of it's own ^ ^;

While I really like Manga/anime style, I choose realistic.
I love doing portrait drawings, either from someone posing, or just from a photograph, and I'm not too much a fan of colour, I prefer black/white black/grey

I love realistic style! I'm working on a sketch of Synyster Gates atm and it's from one of A7X's concerts, gonna be bad-ass when it's done!
I think Realistic just makes the pic come to life, not that I'm knocking manga/anime or anything like that; I love them aswell! ;D

I prefer anime/manga style, because I quite enjoy the mix of simplicity and detail in it. I like the simplified anatomy and not-entirely-correct proportions, and I like the cell shading. Not being particularly good at shading myself, any way to simplify the process is more than welcome. =)
That said, I am willing to try realistic drawings - indeed, that's what I have to do in drawing class right now, anyway - and some of them turn out better than others. Lulz.
But I have great admiration for those who can skillfully draw in either form - especially so realistic you might mistake it for a photograph. o__o Those people are amazing beyond words.
(And Jeanne? I totally agree with the avoiding noses. xD;; )
