I don't think she looks bigger than Vincent, though it might seem so because she has her head up and he has half his face covered. If I had to point something out I think it'd just be that Yuffie doesn't seem to be looking at him, but straight ahead. As if from a different angle, their positions would be this: (Vincent being on the left and Yuffie on the right) That is if you can make out what this picture is supposed to be >_> I suck at explaining with words so I try to draw really bad pictures to prove my point which only end up confusing people more DDD:

package. shot. excuse me while i regain my composure. haha anyway, you're about spot on, mku. (And I -can- tell what it's supposed to be. That's a baby lying beside a pitch fork, no? Just kidding.) Anyway, she's not supposed to be looking at him-- she's dragging herself over to him, because they both just got their asses handed to them. Of course, no one but myself would know this, so it's fair for you to assume it looks weird. I can still see where Vincent should be just a little bigger if the perspective were to work out properly (which it does not). No matter, it's not a serious endeavor-- i'm not planning on selling it or even putting it in my DA gallery-- it's just for you guys! as is this: the next crap piece of art work that has spawned from an inactive mind (today was my day off). Now, while I wait for photobucket to upload the picture, I'll fill you all in on the random fact that I am listening to Christmas music.. in the middle of July. Ahah, there; the picture is ready! Lucky you guys. I was going to tell you about my peeling sun-burn next. taadaa. enjoy. tell me what's wrong with it, if you want to. I'm not going to change it, but it makes good conversation.

I think that your picture looks really good lynnreist! Did you use watercolor as your medium? It may be just me, but I think Vincent's nose looks too big for his face. His eye look really small compared to his nose. I still like it though. I mean, I can't draw noses well either so I shouldn't even be critiquing.

lol yeah i have a horrible tendency to elongate men's faces. Hence the uber long nose. Oh wells. This was done in photoshop, btw. and you can just call me lynn

Yeah I though maybe that was what you were actually aiming for!
I think that's my favourite of your pictures so far! Personally I like how you draw his nose. I think it would look kickass if finished and coloured with dark-ish colours, make it look like it's dimly-lit.
Don't listen to too many Christmas music just yet! I did that once and when Christmas actually came around I just couldn't stand it anymore :B

haha i do that -every year- no lies. I've recently taught myself how to like.. properly paint in photoshop.. haha. not this scribbley crap. So i may try it out some time. For today though (seeing this is my only day off until.. er.. tuesday?) I wanted to just spit something out. here's my 'real painting' techinique.. i31.photobucket.com/albums/c397/Lady_Isolde/benjamincopy2.jpg ..you mean something like this (only better and not so shallow looking.. haha), but build all out from the black background.. like.. chiaroscuro... holy jenova i spelled that right the very first try. anyway, is that what you mean?

I like your colouring (and I'm in love with that eye in that picture <3333). I was thinking more like using darker colours to create a darker environment, but not necessarily with as much contrast between clear/dark as chiaroscuro. Like using darker orange/brown tones for skin. ( here's an example, not a very good one but I think it might help you get the idea).

Haha thank you. I like the eye as well. (That's Benjamin-- he's my OC and we love him) Okay, so are you thinking a monochromatic colour scheme? Or just muted dark color scheme. humm, i should start re-inking it to start with, then get down to colours later.

Not really monochromatic, just focusing on the browns and darker colours, but it's really up to you!

Cutting into the middle of things, here, sorry! Anyways, due to lots of people asking me to... I actually did manage to get my picture colored in. One black-and-white-only scan, a little bit of lineart cleanup, three printed copies, and numerous frustrating colored pencils later, we have this: A friend of mine also did her own colored rendition, which can be seen here: fair-weather.deviantart.com/art/In-the-Distance-92618763

Wow! Your colouring is brilliant! The way the lifestream!Zacks' light is reflecting on Cloud is just excellent. And the blue tone and shading in Cloud's uniform, makes the folds look even better! And his haaiiiir <333 I could never hope to colour this well with pencils, I'm so bad at them. You did a great job!

Oh wow, nice coloring! Although, something niggles at me - the color you used for Zack. He's meant to be all Lifestream-y, right? Unless I'm very much mistaken, the Lifestream is a whole plethora of greens, and not just, er, radioactive green. =P Not that the color you've used is wrong or anything, because it definitely shows up - but I'd think about fleshing it out with some darker greens for that full 'Lifestream' effect. XD
I tried looking for a screencap of the beginning of Advent Children when you actually see the Lifestream, but couldn't find it. Google has failed me. D:

I'd have a lifestream screenshot but my laptop is dead and I don't know if I uploaded it to photobucket. Lemmi go check. If I did I'll post the link.
