(I so failed Myst as a child) Yeah, you have to use the portals to do stuff, yunno, hit buttons and use momentum and gravity to fly up really high. It's not like fps, it's coooool

My accomplishment is lame but it still made me feel good; finishing that darn racing sequence for Tidus' best weapon in X. I hated that sooooooooooo much and was so glad to finally do it.

Oh, that damn bird race.
Took me hours.
Man, joker, you have skills.
(Did you throw anything at a wall?)

It took me about half an hour to finally get under 0 seconds in the chocobo race. The butterfly catching for Kimahri's best weapon, on the other hand, I still can't do. It's too damn hard!

Wanna hear something funny. I finished the butterfly game and got Kimahri's weapon no problem but the bird race took me forever; an entire day at least.

I'm like Pied; I took relatively little time to get under 0 seconds in the bird race (if I remember correctly it was something like 15 minutes)- but I still can't do that damn butterfly-catching game. I the last area I can only find six butterflies. I mean whaaat?
Oddly, I also managed to get exactly 0 seconds on the chocobo bird race as well. I damn near destroyed the PS2 then, I can assure you all. =P

The chocobo race is a great big hunk of chocolate-frosted cake compared to the agony of dodging (or in my case, not dodging) lightning.

Oh god >.< I am actually trying to do all of the above right now.... 1. anyone got cheats/shortcuts for no-encounters weapons/armor? (haet you Lulu ) 2. I hate chocobos with the burning intensity of a thousand desert suns. (THEY DON'T STEER! ARRR ) And 3.... I don't.... want to finish the game... if I do Tidus will... 4. How many steroids do I need to take to stand up against dark aeons?

Okay, for No Encounters you need 30 Purifying Salts. You can get them by:
1. Stealing from Abadon (Monster Arena), Fallen Monk (Yevon Dome) or Warrior Monk (Bevelle Highbridge).
2. Capturing 4 of each monster from the Dragon species for the Monster Arena: Vouivre (Mi'ihen Highroad), Lamashtu (Mushroom Rock Road), Kusariqqu (Thunder Plains), Mushussu (Sanubia Desert), and Nidhogg (Cave of the Stolen Fayth or Mt. Gagazet). The trainer will reward you with 99 of them.
The second option's better considering if you want full game completion, you'll have to do the Monster Arena side-quest anyway. You could also steal No Encounters armour from Ghosts (Cave of the Stolen Fayth) but it's a rare find.

Or, you can go into the Omega Ruins and kick some ass. Don't take more than twenty steps in either direction, and in no time you should have a en-encounter piece of armour or weapon. I suggest you save every few mintutes though, depending mainly on your character's levels. Even at the end of the game, having each of my characters having three full sphere grids I feared that place.
