Those /are/ all of the Turks, right?
I'd feel terrible if I missed one. I'm not voting, yet, as I need to think about it.
Really, though, who is your favorite Turk and why? Is it just because he (or she) looks cool? Or is it his (or her) personality? Or what...?

I like Reno. He's got that Devil-may-care attitude and that just really attracts me to a character. He may do some dirty stuff, but he never loses that grin. I find that really cool about him.

Reno! Yes he looks cool, but I adore his personality, and I often wonder about what made him who he is, someone who can drop a plate on all those people and as Captain says, never lose that grin. I sometimes wonder whether he was really recovering from his injuries after dropping the plate, or if he just lost it for a bit. If he did, and then came through that and got the strength to go back to work, it would explain why nothing seems to phase him any more, making him fairly strong emotionally, but at the same time, possibly quite immune to emotion. Not that I think about this a lot or anything ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

I really love Turk Vincent. Part of the reason I love Vincent so much is that I love both sides of him: his Turk self and his modern self. It's a shame there's not many fanfics about him and his Turk days.
I would of voted for a present time Turk but there's a few problems. One of the reaons is that I don't have the game or read enough fanfics about them.
I really like all the Turks, but I prefer them all together than see any separate. If a fanfic is only about one turk or two, I stop reading the fanfic. I just prefer them in a group or at least group up once and a while in a fanfic. They're often funny together. One of the best Turk fanfics I read is called We're Taking the Stairs! It's by CookieKitten, and it even made it's way on my favorite list.

I chose Tseng. Despite all the things he's done to help Shinra stay on top of their enemies over the years, I like him but I'm not real sure why...
I think it was during Last Order. I liked seeing a different side of him. I liked seeing him hesitate to recapture Zack and Cloud. Especially since he didn't get all fuzzy and wishywashy over it, but it was still perfectly clear that he didn't like what he was being ordered to do.
He's cool, strong and cold, in the sense in that the leader of the Turks needs to be. He is also not afraid to question- even when he doesn't act on his doubts.
He and Zack were assigned to work together in the past, (Crisis Core demos show this clearly), and while Zack would never choose duty over friendship, Tseng was willing to. The only thing that saved him from making that decision was the interferance the Army was responsible for.
Ironically, if the Turks were clever about it, they might have been able to recapture Zack alive- all they would have had to do is threaten Cloud, and FFVII would have been a vastly different game...

Reno is cool? No, Rude is cool. ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) He doesn't even have to say anything to look intimidating, but when he does he comes out with some great lines. I think my favourite is when Cloud has broken into Shinra HQ and he's in the lift. Rude just walks in and says, "Up, please." Now that's cool. And he's efficient too. I've never been a fan of the Turks so I decided on a favourite about two minutes ago. XD I almost surprised myself with who I picked, but there you go. Rude.

Aw, man...I can't pick just one! I love them all! (Well...except for the Before Crisis ones...don't love those quite as much, but mainly because I don't know much about the game.) I'm very fond of Turk!Vincent and like to write him quite a bit (probably more than Red-caped!Vincent, to be honest). Reno's climbed my favorites ladder, though, and I've always had a little soft spot for Rude. Tseng--just awesome (see Lady Valtaya's post). ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) And Elena--she's the only female Turk we see in the original game, and she hangs out with a bunch of guys. Something about her situation and the fact that she can kick butt as a Turk makes me like her. ;D I have a feeling Veld will climb into my favorites, once I learn more about him. I know he blackmailed Heidegger (I think it was him? One of Shin-Ra's higher ups at any rate) and got away with it. That's pretty much the epitome of bada**ness right there, in my book. In general, I just like assassin-types who come off as people and not just killing machines--with feelings, and personalities, and senses or humor, and maybe even some semblance of ethics (see John Cusack in Grosse Pointe Blank ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) ). I mean, who wasn't charmed when you overhear Reno and Rude talking about crushes in the original game?

Vincent-fangirl-alert. LOL.
I loved Vincent's past self... so interesting. I wish we knew more about him though. This was hard, 'cause I love all the Turks.
I have to say that I respect Elena too, since she is the only female among men. It is probably hard sometimes, I'd imagine.

Rude for me, with Reno coming in a close second. Same reason as Pied mostly. Rude also reminds me of Butler in Artemis Fowl. Well actually it's the other way round since FF VII is before AF. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) When I'm reading Artemis Fowl sometimes I picture Butler as Rude. Bleh sorry about the AF references, but I'm kind of into that fandom now. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

Oh, yeah. I'd have to agree with Pied and Erissa. Rude's just...so cool. He's the epitome of suave. He maintains his professionalism while sneaking out a little bit of personality at times. But not too often! That's what keeps him...so mysterious. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Tseng Fan. I love the other Turks but Tseng just seems so different compared to the rest. Some might compare him to Rude but I think Rude still has some humor in his expressions with Reno at his side. Tseng is always serious and being much higher on the ShinRa tower he's involved in a lot of dirty stuff but so mysterious. I personally like him more because I think there's more you can do with him from a writing standpoint.

True, I'm writing (horribly, painfully slowly) a fic called seasons. Each chapter has one season and is about one of the Turks. The first chapter is for Tseng and I actually enjoyed writing him a lot more then I expected. I'm also a closet Tseng/Aerith fan

I personally adore the pairing and writing it is so much fun. You cna go so far back with them without the context of Crisis Core, and even then I bet he'll make an apperance, not sure though. Haven't read up on it much, mainly waiting for my pre-ordered copy. lol I think they fit each other differently then most pairings with Aeris. They have a very mysterious trust thing going.
