I think I'll stick to snickering at all the sad parts. I did love the part were Reks was killed and VIII's opening scene. Its fun watching those two.

I think one of my favorite moments in all of the FF series was where Tidus says...
"So what's with this Macarena Temple?"
But then, Crisis Core has my heart as far as FFVII right now.
The whole trip to Modeoheim is just fun. ^_^ Zack/Cloud is forever. ^_^

That's the last time I attempt to recite quotes without having them opened up before me. >.<
That was pretty awesome, Lady V. I loved the Macarena Temple quote...
Now, let's see. Oh, I know: The drunk moogle in IX was absolutely hilarious and I will forever love the part in Costa del Sol where you can kick the ball at Red XIII. He get's so angry!

I think one of my favorite moments in all of the FF series was where Tidus says... "So what's with this Macarena Temple?" Oh lawl yeah. That one makes me chuckle every time... but the one that really made me laugh when I first got to it is when you go to see Mika in Bevelle after defeating Yunaleska, and when Shelinda reveals she's been suddenly promoted to captain... Auron: "Short on believers?" HAH! In your face, Yevon, In! Your! Face!

The scene near Gongaga with the Turks. Reno gossiping was not something I expected.

The worst thing about FFX-2 was the fact that not only is that mindless little green squirrel (Shelinda) back, but you don't get to kill her in that game either.
BTW... Cloud does have a sense of humor, contrary to popular fanon opinion...
After all, Cloud was the one who told Barret that he "looks like a bear wearing a marshmallow."
Which is another reason (ranks right up there with kicking the ball at Red), that Costa Del Sol is epic win!

Oh, another favorite part: YUna's Sending. The dance? Yeah, my mouth dropped open when I saw it. It was just so flipping pretty.
Another one of my favorite parts was cross-dressing Cloud. I always had him picked; it was hilarious. I mean, how many main characters do you know of who cross-dressed?
(Kuja looked kinda like a cross-dresser, but it was normal to wear a thong and a little piece of cloth)

Oh God. I actually really hated the kiss moment in FFX (also, the rape comment cracked me up in ways I cannot express properly). I hated it with a passion. It was so. Freakin'. Lame. Kenny was sitting next to me when I got to that part in the game and I actually felt embarrassed to be playing it. I am not sure why I hate that part - I don't think it's the bad J-pop. I'm just...it's so lame and cliché. It just felt like every bad love scene from fanfic ever. No one's first kiss is that magical and I think that by trying to make it look that way, they're being retarded. I think that them kissing in the water without the music and floating around BS would have been better. I mean, they kiss, her eyes close, it shows Kimarhi leaving, fade to black. AWESOME SCENE. Also, it would have saved two minutes of my life if I didn't have to watch them make out to bad J-pop. I also think this scene is lamer than a camel with no legs. Mengde LOVES that scene. It's one of his favorites (or so he's told me), but I think it's corny, and I also think it's physically improbable. I know, I know, not everything in Final Fantasy is physically probable, but COME ON.

You jaded people and your hate for brilliant scenes. Don't talk to me about physically improbable in a world where people don't have to breathe underwater, can take bullets and get lit on fire and not even notice, and summon giant monsters from the aether. That's like saying the Flying Dutchman being able to submerge itself is physically improbable in a world with undead pirates and giant kraken.
The scene is beautifully done. It's the emotional consummation that everything has been leading up to so far. I'm probably reading into the whole thing too much, but whenever I see them floating through the water I get the sense that this is the first time either of them has felt free and able to just be in a very long time. Despite whatever feelings I have about J-pop I thought the music fit the scene perfectly.
This is all notwithstanding that I would rather have seen Tidus get with Lulu. Whatever, I guess.

Haha! See, a cohort in the cute-ness of the kiss scene XD Final Fantasy games never /were/ based on reality anyway, although it's somewhat of a continutiy error that the three characters that *can* swim, so whenever you are in water you are lumped with them are Tidus, Wakka and Rikku. Maybe Yuna just doesn't like getting wet without a good cause EDIT: OH GOD I JUST READ THAT BACK OH GOD Daw, Tidus/Lulu pairing, I mean, if she married Wakka, surely Tidus couldn't have been too far off? I think the FFX kiss scene was meant to play a much more poignant role than 8 or even semi-9 kiss scenes, so that's why they made such a big deal out of it, 8 and 9's were like a final 'and then they lived happily ever after' nod, whereas 10's just made things more complicated. I love the scene in 9 where Tidus gets brainwashed and pushes everyone away, calling them 'babysitting b*stards!' and the like, then Garnet sets him straight with a good old hands-on-the-hips moment girl power FTW. Then again, that line from IX if you go and read Vivi's grandfather's diary is also made of win, 'six months old - still too small to eat.'

Must we rehash the same arguments, darling? I liked what the scene meant, and I liked what it stood for a great deal, but I still thought it was sort of cheese-filled. Also, making out under water. That's gotta be awkward. *snerk* That's just because you were lusting after Lulu's polygonal br--...personality. Her polygonal personality! ;D

Naw. I mean, she did have a much better body than Yuna, true, but much as I like Yuna I always found Lulu more interesting. Much darker personality, twists and turns that can't easily be fathomed, all those belts... Nothing physical there. >.>

I loved Lulu... an ex-boyfriend of mine dared to attempt to compare my... assets... to hers. Needless to say, he didn't last too long. Funny thing is that he broke up with me...
Anyway, I loved Quina's talknig and trying to eat everything that she came across. It was easily one of the reasons I loved that game. I also liked the part in the pub where Zidane hits on several people and then stupidly tells Dagger that he was planning on taking her out on a date... dumby head.
As for that scene, it was cheese-filled and I couldn't stand it.

I liked IX. I love it really, it was my first Final Fantasy. In Buermucia (agh that is so spelled wrong) when Beatrix owns you. I loved the FMV. You don't even want to know how long it took me to figure out Kuja wasn't a girl in skimpy clothes.

Like I said - I would have liked the kissing scene if it weren't so long and drawn out. I don't like watching ANYONE make out. EVER. Even fictional characters.
Another awesome scene is when everyone starts singing the Hymn of the Fayth across Spira. That was pretty cool. I got a little choked up, but the Hymn of the Fayth always does that to me. I love that song.
