Is there room for one more? A minor character perhaps? For the sake of reference, my character is 20, and is a paranormal photographer.
---
Unbeknownst to the teenagers happilly chatting in the middle of the mall, more than one pair of eyes were observing them.
Peering discreetly over a book with a glossy cover, Sylla considered her options. She was there to talk with the boy- some careful questioning had revealed him as the 'Maverick Stalker'. She had hoped to get some valuable information about the mansion from him, as all the other locals clammed up when the subject was broached, but it wasn't worth the trouble in front of all these people. It would have to be later.
Adjusting the camera she carried by a strap across her shoulder into a more comfortable position, she ran a hand through her short brown hair and delved back into her newly purchased book: The Maverick Mansion, Chronicles of the Local House of Horrors.

Josephine was disappointed. She had hoped Dramaya would tell them some interesting facts about the mansion, but instead she gave them a standard reply of what it felt like to live near a creepy building. Oh well, maybe she weighted her response and is not telling us as much as she knows. She was eager to bombard Dramaya with questions of her own, but decided it was not wise to do so. She can’t afford to anger or irritate anyone that could possibly aid her in her quest. She must find a way to bring it out later in casual conversation.
She was waiting for the boy’s answer when Steph spoke to her.
“Yeah sure, that would be nice. I’m new here and I don’t know my way around, I’m glad I get to meet you guys, even if it was under unlucky circumstances.” In reality she was torn. She wanted to go and explore the mansion, but maybe it was foolish to go in alone and without much information about it. What if it was really haunted? After all the change in the painting was unexplainable wasn’t it? She needed to make the right connections while she was here. Find out details about the mansion, possibly even interest some people to accompany her inside. But how? Arrgh she shouldn’t have left all her friends behind!

"Well," Steph said brightly, "let's finish questioning my friend, shall we? Here," she pulled a pen from her pocket and grabbed the 'Stalker's' hand, "is my number. Give me a call later, and you can talk to Drama then, okay?" The teenager scribbled her cellphone number on the boy's hand. After all, she was going to try to convince Drama to either A: let her stay at her house or B: get her to come to Steph's house for a sleepover.
"Come on, Drama, Josephine. Let's go."
Steph grabbed the girls' wrists and started to walk away.

"Ooh Nick. You've become quite the player since I last came back huh?" his sister teased.
Nicholas ignored her. He knew that conversation hadn't ended the way he wanted it to. He had to make his intentions clear before they just wrote him off as just another crazy person. Nicholas looked at the number on his hand. Most likely if he called them, they would ignore him and never pick up. Who'd want to associate with the Maverick Stalker anyway?
Nicholas ran off in the direction of the three girls. "Steph! Hold on!"
As he caught up with them, he explained himself. "Hey, I didn't really introduce myself back there. You guys probably know me as the Maverick Stalker and while it is a cool name, I do have a real one. I'm Nicholas."
After getting their names he continued. "I moved here two years ago. I'm totally fascinated by paranormal stuff and that's why you always see me in front of Maverick Mansion. One day, I want to go inside and discover the truth about the mansion. But I can't go alone....so yeah."
"Nick!! Where are you!?"
The teenager looked back. "Sorry, but my sister's calling. Nice meeting you all."
Nicholas started to jog back to Lisa.

"Yeah... it was nice meeting you too", Dramaya said automatically, before he had hurried back towards his sister. Her disconcerted feelings him had lessened somewhat after he had given a proper introduction, and that he wasn't as impolite as she had first thought. However, the fact that he really did want to get inside the mansion triggered her concern: she had good reason to believe whatever spirits lurked there wouldn't quite welcome him with open arms.
Also, now that he had acquainted himself with her, he would probably be visiting her more often to drill more answers out of her. It was true, she had been omitting quite a bit of information, but only because it wasn't something she was comfortable in sharing with a stranger. Besides, the more information she might give him about what she had experienced, the more he would want to get inside the Maverick Mansion.
"Yeah, let's get back home", she said to Steph, letting her pull her away by the wrist. Dramaya then turned to Josephine. "So, do you live here in Brentford, Josephine?"

"Seriously though, Nick," Steph yelled back, automatically giving him a nickname, "give us a call later!"
She smiled at Josephine and Drama. "Yeah, I don't think I've seen you around before, unless you're new... or don't like people," she added as a second thought. "You don't strike me as that kind of person though."

The Maverick Mansion, huh? I haven't been close to that house in a while... Eva was quite fond of the old house, and she had always wanted to meet a ghost. Sure the house scared her, but being scared was something she enjoyed in a sick way, the light feeling was somewhat pleasant. Maybe she was insane, like her friends had told her once or twice, but if that really was the case she was perfectly happy with it.
She soon found herself outside the mansion, gazing at the huge house. It was a beautiful house, even though it had not been tended too in quite some time. Sighing, she leaned at the iron gate, how she wished she could get inside at least once. If the rumors were indeed true, she doubted she wanted to go in a second time.

She was glad that Nicholas wished to explore the mansion. She wanted to tell him that that was what she intended to do as well, but before she could open her mouth the girl who was with him called him and he had to go. Damn! Now how am I going to get hold of him again?
While she was still feeling disappointed Dramaya asked her a question and now she was at a lost. What can she say? She can’t lie and tell them she lived in this town. It was such a small town and they’ll find out straight away. She can’t tell them she’s a tourist, after all, what’s there to see? Saying that she was visiting a relative wouldn’t work either; they were bound to know the local people and she can’t just fake a name. Oh no this is really going badly. Maybe I should have just run after that boy. At least we have the same intentions.
Even though it was crazy and she just got to know these girls, Josephine decided to tell the truth. Okay, so maybe they’ll think she’s weird, but there’s no way she can lie her way out of this, and if they are unwilling to give her any information, she might as well face that fact now and try to work out another way later.
“Well I’m actually here because of a painting named “House of Maverick”. I think it’s connected with the Maverick Mansion. You see I saw it in Paris while I was on vacation and at first I thought it was just an ordinary painting of a haunted house, except it suddenly changes and a girl appeared in the corridor when a few moments before it was empty. A girl that looks just like me! Okay, I know this all sounds unbelievable but that’s the truth and I’m here to solve the mystery.”

As Josephine began to unfold her story, revealing her true intentions for being in Brentford, Dramaya's eyes widened with amazement. Even when she had told them that the painting had changed unexplainedly, she didn't think Josephine was crazy at all. Living next to a haunted mansion for nine years, Dramaya had become all too familiar with unexplainable happenings (though it was in those moments that she sometimes questioned her own sanity).
"Really? A painting of the Maverick Mansion?" Of course, as Josephine described it was of the interior of a house, she might not be able to recognize if it was indeed the Maverick place. Still, she was thoroughly intrigued. "Do you have this painting with you? I'd like to see it."

"That wouldn't be a problem. I have it in my car right now, I thought I might need it later during my investigation." Okay so maybe she won't think I'm crazy.

Dramaya nodded. "Okay. Maybe I can see if it is the Maverick Mansion or not."
Still, her expression furrowed slightly when Josephine spoke of an 'investigation', and it dawned on her that she too wanted to enter the mansion. All these people wanting to get inside the Maverick Mansion-- it was starting to become a handful. But, Dramaya kept quiet, and decided not to try to dissuade her until she saw the painting. She wouldn't lie if it was or wasn't the Maverick Mansion though; Josephine had been honest about this, and it wouldn't be fair if it wasn't too.
She looked back towards Steph. "You wouldn't mind, would you, if we went to take a look at the painting? It might not take too long."

"Of course I'll mind," Steph said, rolling her eyes. She walked after Josephine. "You coming?" she asked teasingly over her shoulder.
"Somehow, Josie, can I call you that?" Without waiting for a reply she continued on, "Somehow, I believe you. Maverick Mansion is a creepy place. I could see it happening."

Good. The other girls were leaving, now, and the 'Maverick Stalker' kid was left with his sister. Shoving the book into her bag, Sylla started to follow the two discreetly, keeping them at the edge of her field of vision. Perhaps once the kid returned to his haunt outside the mansion gates she'd be able to talk to him.

(I have no idea how to say that. Field of view? Like, you know, when you're watching someone but not quite, out of the corner of your eye? Agh, I'm making an idiot of myself here aren't I?)
(EDIT: Field of vision! That's the word I was looking for. Thanks Dramaya!

"Finally! C'mon, lets go home so I can try these on." Lisa said.
Nicholas shook his head. This book better be worth it.
As he gathered up the bags he noticed two very odd people. One girl appeared to be a goth, covered in black makeup and had the general aura of "don't go near me" and another girl who was busy munching on pizza and laughing in between slices. It looked like she was laughing at nothing.
This is why I hate the mall. If there are people weirder than me, then that's a problem.
As he and his sister were leaving the mall, he felt this presence following him. He looked back a couple of times, but didn't see anything suspicious. Nicholas shrugged and kept walking.
