I agree, Eww.
Personally, I was in favour of Harry/Hermione but I shut up real quick about that when it came out that a lot of H/H shippers were a bunch of crazy assed fanatics. I did get all the hints about Ron/Hermione and I knew it was going to happen, I just personally didn't like Ron and would have preferred her to hitch up with Harry. But since I think about it I didn't like Harry either, so ...
Come to think of it she didn't have to hook up with anyone. It's just a million screaming fans would probably have protested if the leading lady actually decided to be independent and grow up and see the world a little rather than going for the mandatory romance / shipping.
Meh. I don't know what I'm complaining about, my wishlist before the last book came out was for Grindelwald to return and turn out to be worse than Voldemort, for Merlin to appear somehow and do some amazing stuff, and for Dumbledore to download all his knowledge and wisdom into Harry's brain so Harry could actually save the world plausibly despite being an average wizarding teen. Better than the Deus Ex that was eventually used IMO. Meh.

I believe the year was 1997. I was a tender young thing when I began hunting down Buffy the Vampire Slayer fanfic in the off-season. This was back when FFN was actually, y'know, decent, and open-minded. Then I moved to Harry Potter in 2001, dabbled in Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and The Matrix when they had their heyday, and am now definitely holed up in Supernatural; I'm hoping to multitask in FFVII and maybe even Death Note!

Yaaaay! It's going to rock! I just hope my totally legal method of acquiring the eps in a decent amount of time from a foreign country doesn't break my bandwidth or take forever to update. ^___^

You moved? When? And what part of England are you in? We could be close!
~Ally~
PS. Apologies to mods if this is classed as OT.

As Mods go, we are all pretty mild mannered, but you could always continue your chat via your intro thread!! ^_^
It's always nice to see more Supernatural fans, even though I seldom read anything from that fandom!

Right-o! Apologies. It's a little unusual to be out of my comfort zone (aka. LJ) where 99% of my fandom resides. Makes a nice change to be on a forum again. ~Ally~

Nonsense, no need to appologize! We're very glad to have ya!!
I know what you mean about feeling out of your zone, I'm not an LJ regular, but I'm still not completely at ease posting on ACF- there's a few people oer there that are REALLY brutal when it comes to interpreting the various Final Fantasies. It gets a little out of hand at times, in fact.

We're all lovely here though! If it wasn't for the lenient mods, I wouldn't have my shiny red stars ;D

True. This is the least combative forum I've ever been to. Probably has something to do with the gender ratio.

The girls are all nice, and the guys are so intimidated by the sheer number of girls they stay on their best behavior

Hey! Captain Wee is intimidated by no skirt! In fact, I propose instead of wearing skirts, girls wear nothing, and instead of wearing pants, they wear skirts.

... Wee, are you all right? =P
Although, I suggest you take that idea up with Cloud. I'm sure he'll be very open to the idea of guys wearing skirts. XD
