sometimes you get a review that makes you laugh, sometimes they're well thought out con-crits, sometimes they really stoke the ego. Whatever it be, quote them here *although some may need censoring*

Okay.. I'll give it a try... Btw- is it just reviews for FFVII fics, or can it be any fic? Of all my reviews, I especially like this one becuase of its context; it's informative, to the point and, above all else, helpful. It was given to me by "FallenAngel - XIV" who was on this site for a little while ages ago. I appreciate that she read the first (crappy) version of the fic and took the interest to go back and take a look at the re-write most of all. And just to be indulgent, one of the ego-stoking ones for the craic of it I suppose! A very over the top review I recieved for one of my bigger fics, but it was nice to recieve all the same and the reader was the kindest person ever! ;D

Okay...
Tenacity/43/Artistic/i personally think that zack is completely out of character. after playing crisis core, i perceived zack as a genuinely nice guy...not some man sleeper. i did find him to be a bit flirty with the ladies, but not outright lewd. don't get me wrong, your fic is an entertaining read (though i honestly don't prefer the pairing of zack/cloud over zack/aerith). it's just my opinion that perhaps you could incorporate more of the "good guy" zack.
Reason: I had to laugh, because really. You go into someone's story not just by playing one game. Seriously, Zack was a bit of a jerk in the original FFVII. "Old Men", being rude, flirting. You aren't given a very nice picture of him except when it came to Cloud. As for him being ooc, well. It was her opinion, of course, but I like to think I mixed them up pretty well. Worst part though? I read through her story and gave her concrit before this. About... Punctuation, capitalization, and her word choice. Heh.
Tenacity/72/Morne/At first, I want to apologize for any mistakes I´ll surely make, but my native language isn´t english.
Okay, there´s one word which came to my mind when I´ve begun to read your story, and I think it describes it perfectly: WOW!
I´ve read a few fics in which Zack survives, but honestly - yours is the one I like the most. It´s awesome how you cope with keeping the protagonists in character. You´ve also developed them so very realistic and alive, it´s really amazing. Of course, blame to the things they have to go through, their personality change a bit – but you´ve always managed it to make it look traceable and naturally. Your style of writing is also something I adore. You write much better than many authors whose books I´ve read – without exaggeration! Come to think of it… you´ve mentioned once that you were writing a book, right? Tell me the name of it, and if it´s going to be published I´ll buy it!
Well, I hope you continue writing this story – it would be a shame if you´d not finish it. From now on I´ll try to review to every following chapter, though I normally don´t like reviewing in english…
Reason: Ego strokage.
Anactoria/1/Stoic-Genius/Haha, only Genesis can say I want to f*** you and make it sound poetic. I like Genesis, Seph seemed kind of down to earth until the incident at Nibelheim and he went crazy. But in Crisis Genesis seemed more I wouldn't say sophisticated, but I guess on another level. Where like Seph would probably stop to talk to someone on a lower level/class than him, Genesis seemed more like the type to give you the 'you aren't fit to shine my shoes' look, and all of this, while maintaining a certain level of creepiness. I think you totally summed up his personality with the last line.
Reason: Epic Stroking of the Ego
Field Angelical/1/Amarissia/Ghhblljjk. Bhbre.
::falls at your feet:: Fivesome. Never seen before. HOT. Need fire department.
::passes out::
Reason: When your favorite author says something like that, it's an EPIC win.

The reviews to Medical Excuse made my day.
From MaKoEyEs123: Has anyone ever told you you were awesome...mainly for writing this?
From Don'tCallMeBones: that freaking rocked. i almost spat soda all over my cat! hilarious!
Yeah, I figured I found my niche in fanfics with that pairing. There's 14 more, but I don't wanna censor all night.

Oh, man... this is gonna be great. A few of my personal favorites:
Story: Mono no Aware
Reason: I got someone interested in ew-sicko Red/Tifa romance. Heck yeah.
Story: Relativity of Hers
Reason: I wrote something that made someone cry? It was a nice ego boost. The fact that said someone happened to be one Rowena DeVandal (one of those genuinely nice ladies you meet) made it even cooler.
I've also got a few nice lil' flames, but... I wouldn't want to throw them here. There's quite a few of them scattered across all my fanfics, and from one (or two, possibly) very determined character, though s/he hasn't popped up in a year or two. I'm very sad.
So, in lieu of a review that would involve me doing a lot of editing, I present this one:
Reason: ...I'm not sure, but I believe it was one reader's response to another critical review I left on some other person's story way back when. Apparently I'm female.
But yeah... those are a few of my personal favorites. There's one I received from Grace E. Dragondale that I thought was just FUDGIN' AEWSUM, but I wouldn't want to bore you all with it.

I got a long string of reviews from one person who I think was purposefully trying to sound like a n00b/retard. Why? Because when I went to her profile, she typed perfectly lucid and all that happy sh^#. And even had a few readable fics going on. Which drives me to the question of...what was she trying to do? She didn't even say anything bad either. It went like this:
Seeing the "cuntinoo!!" makes me laugh for some reason... I've obviously been spending too much time on gaia. All the vulgarity is getting to me...

Oh! Fun fun fun! Ego-stroke: Blue -Niagra: ,wow! I love your fanfics, I have probably said before, and now I am your fangirl!... Can girls have fangirls? The /real/ fangirl: 'hahaha.. the ending of this chao is so0o0o cliffy!! hahaha.' fire dragonheart: 'nice' I have recieved this same review on about 3 of my fics by this reader and in about 15 chapters. It's ALL she ever says . Except for this on one chapter 'Nicely written, but confuses me' ? This was pretty amusing. On a Lewis Carrol-styled chapter: ha ha, been a long time since i read Alice in Wonderland.. i liked how you tried to adapt that style of writing, too. Lewis Carrol was the cat's whiskers - lame pun intended Spazztasticle: (on a threatening A/N that said I might get bored and start writing as2-rape if no one reviewed ): ow0 how bout het ** rape? >D kidding... about the rapw part... it should be totally consensual >D (Fangirls who make me laugh) Rae: oh my GOD, i love you, even if maybe ur a girl. They make me chuckle

This shows me that even though my reviewers have seen a lot from me they still get shocked.
I'd have more but then I'd be on all day hunting them down...

Every now and then you get a review that just sorta sticks with you. It makes you think, or it makes you humble, or it just brightens a really bad day. I've gotten a few such reviews, but the best one just really tickled me pink, for my story Diamonds and Guns (for those of you adverse to Yuffentine, the story is that Wutai is taken over by a rival family and Yuffie manages to get out of Wutai, but her father is killed. She sinks into a life of drugs and partying. The story is about her addiction and recovery, and I did a LOT of research, interviewing both my father and husband about addiction, recovery, and what an overdose feels like, as well as the medical aspect of overdoses from my father, who is also a nurse...the goal was to get the word out about addiction): I really enjoyed reading that, especially the bit where they said "I learned a lot." It made me feel like I'd done my job properly, as a writer. You know? One of the best reviews I've ever received, however, was some concrit from our own Kaj-Nrig. He pointed out that I was writing dialog incorrectly. THAT has stuck with me, every time I write.

Fic: A Need for Spoons, Reviewer: VeelaChic
Ego-stroking and for some reason this makes me snicker.
Fic: Echoes Of Silence, So Loud In The Night; Reviewer: Cheerie Mai
I was having the worst day ever when I got that review, and it made me feel so good it was ridiculous.

From Iseki, on my Vincent/Yuffie one-shot 'Logic':
The last bit made me laugh: "The best part (And you know it)..." My readers hate me sometimes because i get rather unsure about what i write. I had made one of said self-conscious speeches when I posted that Fic. *blush*

Back when I was really in the Naruto fandom, I was an avid Itachi/Sakura fangirl. I wrote a oneshot partially dedicated to the story that had served as my inspiration for several years, and the fact that the author left me such an ego-inflating review really made - still makes - me smile.
I wrote a oneshot about Vincent's demons. This made me laugh. X3
I am totally in love with this person. Finally, someone gave the semi-kick upside the head I needed to finish a story. And, well, I haven't actually written more of it, but it did make me remember it.
^ Pen left that. Before I joined the GA and met her, I was totally in awe and felt like a bug in comparison and lots of other embarrassing idolizing analogies that we don't need to go over. Anyway, I looked at it and was like WUT!? PAS left me a review?! I was bouncing off the walls from sheer joy that PAS liked something of mine. WOW THIS IS EMBARRASSING.
Koky is like, my favorite person ever - he reviews my stuff and always leaves thoughtful and insightful comments, pointing out any errors or his favorite parts. Seriously, I just like, glow with pride whenever I read a review from him because it's major ego-inflation. (Curse j00, koky! ...Also, thank you! x3) This story he reviewed is called Pretend, and is a sort of angst-wad about how Yuffie (in KH-land) doesn't know what her life was before Traverse Town (AVALANCHE, or Radiant Gardens?). Anyway, I've recieved a lot of reviews that said the reviewer cried, but I was elated when I made a boy cry!
...Whut?

I think every review makes me go "Ooh! A review!" when I see it in my inbox, but here are a few that really stuck with me: I always try to write to live up to this review. I swear I squealed when I saw the name attached to this review. For my Bartimaeus fic: I LOLed at this...although it was this fic that made me think I could have a future in writing.
